I am Dr. Steven Zielinski and I was born in Montreal Canada and work in the United States. I provide first class spine care to Canadians. I am one of you. I provide Canadian understanding with American technology and remove the wait. I went to Lower Canada College for high school. I got my medical degree at McGill, did my neurosurgical residency at the Montreal Neurological Institute and did a Fellowship at Stanford. Texas Spine and Neurosurgery has its home office and main clinic in Waco. Dr. Zielinski has been working in the Waco community since 2007 and continues to enjoy hosting regular Waco clinics. Texas Spine and Neurosurgery has been offering “first class spine care close to home” for many years.
Dr. Zielinski has privileges at the Coryell Memorial Healthcare System and at Parkview in Mexia. Texas Spine and Neurosurgery has worked with the hospital and local community to develop an unprecedented, outstanding neuro spine program. Texas Spine and Neurosurgery has a local satellite clinic, and we are able to see patients from Manor in Waco. Patients can choose to have all conservative therapy done locally in Waco and, if it comes to surgery, that can be done close to home at Coryell or Parkview. There is no longer a need to travel far from Manor in order to obtain first class care for your back or neck.

Texas Spine and Neurosurgery is a neurosurgical practice which specializes in the coordination of both surgical and conservative treatment options. We treat herniated discs, spinal stenosis, radiculopathy, spondylolisthesis, spondylosis, pars defects, spinal fractures, back pain, neck pain, carpal tunnel, and many other disorders of the spine and nerves. We are skilled in the use of both microsurgical and minimally invasive procedures on the neck and back, as well as more complicated procedures. At Texas Spine and Neurosurgery, we can also do lumbar, thoracic, and cervical discectomies, laminectomies, and fusions. In order to ensure quality, all our partners which provide operative locations must meet our strict standards for excellence. To that end, we both require and provide specific training for staff both inside and outside the operating room. All centers are required to meet state of the art technological standards with regard to equipment, procedures and protocols in order to become a Texas Spine & Neurosurgery partner.
Whenever possible, conservative treatment options are always considered before surgery. At Texas Spine and Neurosurgery, we with coordinate with high quality local providers and we help to oversee and coordinate care, including but not limited to pain management, physical therapy, anti-inflammatory therapy, bracing, massage therapy, chiropractic therapy, acupuncture, and pool therapy. Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery
Dr. Zielinski has routinely performed minimally invasive spine surgery since 1997. In patients that qualify, it is a great way to relieve pain quickly and ensure a smaller incision, with very little down time. Patients who undergo minimally invasive spine surgery are typically able to return home on the same day of their surgery. The minimally invasive approach also tends to decrease the amount of pain associated with surgery. We know your time and ability to return to your regular activities are important. That is why we always strive to provide the highest level of care with the least invasive approach.
