Process Overview
At Texas Spine & Neurosurgery, our patients undergo a thorough initial evaluation, including a thoughtful review of their medical history, imaging studies and test results. We approach patient treatment with the most conservative therapy possible, given the patients’ individual set of symptoms and needs. The majority of our patients do not require surgery thus we mostly monitor each patient’s condition in parallel to the amount of conservative therapy they have undergone. Once the patient has exhausted all the conservative options, or if Dr. Zielinski deems that their condition is urgent enough to need a surgical procedure then they proceed to plan for the surgery and post-operative care.
We encourage our patients to take an active role in their own care but always provide guidance regarding the optimal treatment options for them. In some cases, such as those involving spinal cord compression, neurologic deficit, or primary brain tumors, we provide cutting-edge surgical treatment of spinal disorders and use minimally invasive techniques whenever possible.
