I got my medical degree at McGill, did my neurosurgical residency at the Montreal Neurological Institute and did a Fellowship at Stanford. Mandi R. Jackson
Mandi R. Jackson is a successful attorney and CEO of eDiscovery Essentials, a company that specializes in electronic discovery services. With a wealth of experience in the legal industry, Ms. Jackson has worked with AM 100 law firms, Fortune 500 companies, and nationwide litigation support companies. She is an expert in efficiency and profitability consulting, particularly in the medical industry, and has spoken at CLEs for attorneys and paralegals throughout her career. Ms. Jackson holds a B.S. from the University of Florida and a J.D. from the University of Texas at Austin.
Before founding eDiscovery Essentials, Ms. Jackson served as Vice President of Client Services for a national litigation support company. In this role, she provided strategic direction and leadership to the company’s Project Managers and Technologists, while consulting with clients regarding eDiscovery, document review, and litigation readiness. Ms. Jackson also led the design, implementation, and ongoing management of the company’s industry-leading educational program, which ensured that its personnel gained and retained the knowledge necessary to deliver a consistently high-quality work product to clients. Under her guidance, the organization saw a 38% increase in efficiency and profitability within her first year, and she continued to achieve increases in efficiency and profitability throughout the remainder of her tenure. She also increased client satisfaction with the company’s work product and increased employee loyalty, professionalism, and job satisfaction.
Previously, Ms. Jackson worked for an AM 50 law firm, where she consulted and coordinated with attorneys, clients, third-party vendors, and technical staff to provide litigation support services for large litigation projects. In this role, she facilitated the electronic discovery process with an eye toward defensibility and cost containment. Ms. Jackson also developed and implemented a customized vendor selection process to increase the firm’s litigation support efficacy and decrease the firm’s litigation support expenditures for multiple offices.
In another position, Ms. Jackson served as the lead attorney for a litigation support company’s largest commercial client. In this role, she collaborated internally with project management, legal services, and programming services departments and externally with in-house and outside counsel to facilitate document acquisition and triage, as well as substantive legal review and production. She also designed and implemented a proprietary review metrics procedure to easily identify issues and key players, increasing both the accuracy and speed of the document review process.
